In square matrix,
\(\text{No. of rows = No. of columns}\)
A matrix which is not a square matrix is called a rectangular matrix.
For example, \(A=\left[a_{i j}\right]_{m \times n^{2}}\), where \(m \neq n\)
Here, A is rectangular matrix.
Hence, a matrix which is not a square matrix is called a rectangular matrix.
