The correct option is A $\frac{1}{2}$

Let actual cost of dress be $x$

Marked price on dress be $y$

Then after marked price ie, selling price becomes =$y-\frac{y}{3}=\frac{2y}{3}$

Given cost of the dress was $\frac{3}{4}$ th at which it actually sold

$\Rightarrow x=\frac{3}{4}\times \frac{2y}{3}$

$\Rightarrow x=\frac{y}{2}$

$\Rightarrow \frac{x}{y}=\frac{1}{2}$
