Solution

Scale length of Celsius scale is 1000=100oC
So mercury rises by 45th of the initial distance.
On Celsius scale temperature will be 45×100=800C

Scale length of Fahrenheit scale is 21232=180oF
So mercury rises by 45th of initial distance.
On Fahrenheit scale temperature will be=32+ 45×180=1760F
