Given,
Speed of the metal ball before collision (u1)=10 m/s
Speed of the surface before collision (u2)=0 m/s
and speed of the surface after collision (v2)=0 m/s
Let the rebound speed of the ball be v.

Coefficient of restitution (e)=0.6
We know,
Coefficient of restitution e=v2v1u1u2=0(v)100
(Taking downward direction -ve)
0.6=v10v=6 m/s
