Given : m1=2 kg u1=36 km/h=36×518=10 m/s
Also, m3=3 kg u2=0m/s
Since the balls move together with same velocity after collision, e=0
Loss in kinetic energy ΔK.E.=12(m1m2m1+m2)(1e2)(u1u2)2
ΔK.E.=12(2×32+3)(10)(100)2=60 J
