The correct option is A Clockwise
When the magnitude of magnetic field increases, the magnetic flux through the block also increases.

Due to this, eddy currents will be induced in the block.

According to Lenz's law, the circular induced eddy currents will try to oppose the increase in magnetic flux.

Therefore, the magnetic field due to induced current should be in the opposite direction of applied field.

So, the induced current will be in clockwise direction, as seen from above the block.


Hence, option (A) is the correct answer.
