Solution

Dimensions be :
R= Outer radius =4.42=2.2cm

r= Inner radius 42=2cm

Height h=77cm

Inner curved surface area =2πrh

=2×227×2×77

=968cm2

Outer curved surface area =2πRh

=2×227×4.2×77

=1064.8cm2

Total surface area =968+1064.8+2π×Ringsarea

=968+1064.8+2×[πR2πr2]

=968+1064.8+2×[227×(2.2)2227×(2)2]

=968+1064.8+2×227×[(2.2)2(2)2]

=968+1064.8+5.28

=2038.08

Total surface area =2038.08cm2.

Hence, the answer is 2038.08cm2.
