The box will have the dimensions, length $=48-2\left(8\right)=32cm$
Breadth $=36-2\left(8\right)=20cm$
Height $=8cm$
Since the box is of the shape of a cuboid, Volume of a cuboid of length l, breadth b and height $h=l\times b\times h$
So, the volume of the box $=32\times 20\times 8=5120{cm}^3$
