Therefore, the value of 1 m.s.d. (x) = $\frac{1}{20}$ cm = 0.05 cm
No. of divisions on the vernier scale (n) = 25
Hence, the L.C. of the microscope = $\frac{x}{n}$ = $\frac{0.005}{25}$ cm
= 0.002 cm
