The correct option is B


Given that milk was purchased at the rate of Rs.12 per litre.

Let the number of litres of milk purchased be x.

So, CP=Rs.12x

Given 25% water is mixed to the milk.

Hence the quantity of milk after mixing water
=x+x4=5x4 litres

Hence, SP of 5x4 of mil
k =15×5x4
=Rs.18.75x

It can be seen that SP>CP, so it is a profit.
Profit=18.75x12x=Rs.6.75x
So, profit%=(ProfitCP)×100=(6.75x12x)×100
=56.25%
