Given : $n_{H e} = 1$ $C_{P_{H e}} = 2.5 R$ $n_{H_{2}} = 1$ $C_{P_{H_{2}}} = 3.5 R$
Value of $C_{P}$ for mixture $C_{P} = \frac{n_{H e} C_{P_{H e}} + n_{H_{2}} C_{P_{H_{2}}}}{n_{H e} + n_{H_{2}}}$
$∴$ $C_{P} = \frac{(1) (2.5 R) + (1) (3.5 R)}{1 + 1} = 3 R$
Thus we get $x = 3$
