The correct option is D 10 $L t r$
Let us assume that quantity of alcohol $= 4 x$ and quantity of water $= 3 x$
Now he added 5 litres of water
So $\frac{4 x}{3 x + 5} = \frac{4}{5}$
$\frac{x}{3 x + 5} = \frac{1}{5}$
$5 x = 3 x + 5$
$2 x = 5$
Quantity of alcohol $= 4 x = 2 \times 2 x = 2 \times 5 = 10 l$
Hence the correct option is (C).
