Solution

The correct option is D 48 litres
M:W=4:3...................................(1)

When 6L is added to the mixture

MW+6=87

7M=8W+48....................................(2)

From Eq(1)

M=4W3

putting value of M in (2)

74W3=8W+48

W=36

Using
M=4W3
M=48

Therefore Answer is (A)
