The correct option is C 2 lts
solution:
in 40 litres of mixture 30 litres are wine and 10-litre water.
let we add x litre of water so the ratio becomes 5:2
the wine remains the same so
wine:water
3 : 1 x 5
5 : 2 x 3

15 : 5
15 : 6
15+ 5 = 20 so to make 40 liter
1 unit = 2 liter

there is 1 unit change from 5 to 6 means 2 liter is added
hence the correct option:C
