Solution

Let the mass of CuSO4=xg

The mass of CuSO4.5H2O=(1.245x) g

CuSO4.5H2O249.5CuSO4159.5g+5H2O(g)

CuSO4in(1.245x)g of CuSO4.5H2O=159.5249.5(1.245x)g

Thus, 159.5249.5(1.245x)+x=0.832

x=0.1g

The mass of CuSO4.5H2O=1.145g.

Hence, the mass (in mg) CuSO4.5H2O in the mixture in 1145 mg.
