A mixture of rice is sold at Rs. 300 per kg. This mixture is formed by mixing the rice of Rs. 2.10 and Rs. 2.52 per kg. What is the ratio of price of cheaper to the costlier quality in the mixture if the profit of 25% is being earned?

The correct option is C 2 : 5
x kg of cheaper rice is being added to y kg of costlier rice
x+y=1
The selling price is Rs 3.00 per kg
Profit is 25% which means cost price= 100100+25×3.00=2.4
But cost price =2.10x+2.52y
2.4=2.10x+2.52(1x)=2.520.42x
So, 0.12=0.42x
x=0.120.42=27y=1x=57
x:y=27:57=2:5
