The haemoglobin comprises of globin and haem.
Globin is the protein chain and haem is the red pigment that gives the blood its red colour.
There are
4
protein chains and
4
haems.
Each haem has an iron at it’s centre. So with every iron one oxygen molecule can bind.
As a result of which every haemoglobin had four oxygen along with them riding in the RBC.
And the haemoglobin turns into oxyhaemoglobin.
Hence, option D is correct.
