A monkey is trying to climb a mango tree which is 12 m high but as it is rainy season, the branches of the tree are very slippery. So, whenever it tries to climb 3 m , he slips behind by 1 m. How many jumps are required by monkey to climb at the top of the tree? [3 MARKS]

Total height of the tree = 12 m

Total distance travelled by the monkey in 1 jump = (3 - 1) = 2m

Total jumps required by the monkey
