A monkey of mass 20 kg is holding a vertical rope. The rope can break when a mass of 25 kg is suspended from it. What is the maximum acceleration (in m/s2) with which the monkey can climb up along the rope?

Mass of monkey m=20 kg

Breaking force required

T=25×10=250 N

Equation of motion:
ma=Tmg

Thus, we get,
T=m(a+g)
250=(20)(a+10)
a=2.5 m/s2
