Let the acceleration of the monkey be $a$.

Mass of monkey $m=20kg$

Breaking force required $T=25\times 10=250N$

Equation of motion : $ma=T-mg$

Thus we get, $T=m(a+g)$

Or $250=\left(20\right)(a+10)$

$⟹a=2.5m/s^2$
