A mother and her two daughters constructed a room for ₹62,000. The elder daughter contributes 3/8 of her mother's contribution while the younger daughter contributes 1/2 of her mother share. How much do the three contribute individually?

Let,

the mother's share = x

according to the question,

elder daughter's contribution= 3/8 x

younger daughter's contribution = 1/2 x

now,

x +3x/8 + x/2 = 62000

(8x +3x+4x)/8 = 62000

15x = 496000

x = 496000/15

x = mother's share= 33067

3/8 x = elder daughter's share = 33067 × 3/8 = 12400

1/2 x = younger daughter's share = 33067/2 = 16533
