A motor cycle costing $₹ 40, 500$ is sold for $₹ 39, 000 .$ Find the loss per cent.

Given that-
Cost Price of motorcycle $= ₹ 40, 500$
Selling price $= ₹ 39, 000$
$L o s s = C P - S P = ₹ (40, 500 - 39, 000) = ₹ 1, 500 L o s s % = \frac{L o s s}{C P} X 100 = \frac{1500}{40500} X 100 = 3.7 %$
Hence, loss percent $= 3.7 %$
