A motor vehicle left point A and reached the point B by travelling in a straight line for 2 hours. The vehicle travelled half of the distance at a speed of v. The distance between A and B is:

Consider the car moves with constant speed from A to B. According to the question, the car moves half the distance at speed v.
Since the car moving at a constant speed. So it took 1 hour to cover half the distance.
d1=v×1
d1=v
The next half is also covered with speed v in 1 hour.
(Since it is in uniform motion)
So,
d2=v×1
d2=v m
Hence, total distance,
d=d1+d2
d=(v+v) m
d=2v m
