A moving coil galvanometer A has 100 turns and resistance 50Ω. Another moving coil galvanometer B has number of turns 500 and resistance 200Ω. The other quantities are same in both cases. They are connected by a battery of internal resistance of 50Ω respectively. The ratio of deflection of B to A is (Give integer value)

For a moving coil galvanometer, BiAN=Cθ

θiN (Since, other quantities are same.)

For A:

θAiANA

θAE(GA+r))NA (1)

For B:

θBE(GB+r))NB (2)

From (1) and (2) we get,

θBθA=NBNA×(GA+r)(GB+r)

Substituting the data given in the question,

θBθA=500100×(50+50)(200+50)

=5×100250

=2
