Speed of person running, s=10km/h

Speed of sound wave, vs=330m/s

Step 2. Frequency heard by running person is

frequency of second harmonics sound produced by open flute,

f0=2×vs2L=2×3302×0.5=660Hz

speed of observer, s=10x(5/18)=259m/s

Frequency heard by running person is

f'=s+vssf0=259+330330×660=665.5666Hz
