(i) Thyroxine: Thyroxine is the hormone secreted by the thyroid gland that controls the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins in the body.

(ii) Parathormone: Parathormone is secreted by the parathyroid glands that regulate calcium and phosphate levels in the blood.

(iii) Insulin: Insulin is the hormone secreted by the pancreas that regulates the sugar level in the blood. It causes the cells to absorb it from the blood and convert it into glycogen or use it to generate energy.

(iv) Adrenaline: Adrenaline is produced by adrenal glands that prepare the body to face the flight and fright situation by: Increasing heart rate.
Increasing blood pressure to increase the oxygen supply to different parts of the body.
