Let the common multiple be $x$

Then,

According to given question,

$11 x - 7 x = 20$

$\Rightarrow 4 x = 20$

$\Rightarrow x = 5$

Therefore

The first number $= 7 x = 7 \times 5 = 35$

Second number is $= 11 x = 11 \times 5 = 55$

Then the total is $11 x + 7 x = 18 x = 18 \times 5 = 90$
Hence, this is the answer.
