Here, 74A is exactly divisible by 2.
If a number is even then it is divisible by 2.
$\therefore$ Possible values of A = 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 ... (i)

Now, if a number has 0 or 5 in its ones place then the number is divisible by 5.
74A leaves a remainder 1 when divided by 5.
$\therefore$ Possible values of A = 1,6 .... (ii)
From (i) and (ii) we get
A = 6
