Number x will lie between 1/7 and 1/6 if 1/7 < x < 1/6

We can write 1/6 = 7/(76) = 7/42

We can write 1/7 = 6/(67) = 6/42

So 6/42 < x < 7/42

Now 8> 7 so 1/8 < 1/7 it will not lie in the interval

Similarly 5< 6 so 1/5> 1/6 again it is not statisfying condition so it will not lie

13/42 > 7/42 so it will lie outside

13/84 = 6.5/84

6< 6.5<7

6/42 < 6.5/42 < 7/42

Or

1/7 < 13/84 < 1/6

So option D is correct

13/84 lie in between 1/7 and 1/6
