Solution

The correct option is C

1/16

P(Missile detected)=P(A)=13

P(A')=23

P(SA)=34

P(S)=Hitting the target= P(S intersection A)+P(S intersection A')

P(S)=P(S).P(SA)+P(S)×P(SA)=(13)×0+(23)×34=24=12

P(SSSS)=P(All hitting the target)=(12)4=116
