Solution

Since, x is a 3-digit number and x+32 is a 4-digit number. As 999 is the largest 3-digit number, then x+32 is less than or equal to 1031.Therefore, x+32 lies between 1000 and 1031. Clealy, 1001 is the only palindromenumber between 1000 and 1031.Hence, x+32=1001and x=1001-32=969, which also is a palindrome number. The sum of digits of number x=969 is9+6+9=24.
