A parallel beam of light is incident on a lens of focal length 10 cm. A parallel slab of refractive index 1.5 and thickness 3 cm is placed on the other side of the lens. find the distance of the final image from the lens.

The correct option is A 11 cm
The parallel rays will converge at 10cm from the lens if no glass slab was present, but due to glass slab, shift in position of image =t(11μ)=3(113/2)=3×13=1cm
distance of final image from lens=10+1=11cm
