The correct option is C 12

From figure, we can see that the capacitors are in parallel.

So, the equivalent capacitor is given by

Ceq=ϵ0d(A1K1+A2K2+A3K3)

Here the plate are is one third of the original for each part.
So, A1=A2=A3=A/3

Ceq=ϵ0A3d(K1+K2+K3)

Here, K1=10; K2=12; K3=14

Ceq=36ϵ0A3d=12ϵ0Ad .......(1)

Suppose, all three dielectric slab is replaced by a material of dielectric constant K0, which is fully inserted in the capacitor, then,

C=K0ϵ0Ad ..........(2)

As the capacitance is both the cases are equal,
so,

Ceq=C

12ϵ0Ad=K0ϵ0Ad

K0=12

Hence, option (c) is correct.
