The correct option is C 22 cm
Let A be the amplitude of the given SHM.
Length of the line in which SHM executes will be twice of the amplitude of SHM.
So, 2A=8
A=4 cm
From question,
K.E.=P.E.
12mω2(A2x2)=12mω2x2
A2x2=x2
2x2=A2x=A2=42=22 cm
Hence, option (c) is the correct answer.
