A particle is moved under a force $F = \times ˇ J N$ (x inmeter) from O to A by two paths : 1 is OBA and path 2 is straight line OA. If $w_{1} a n d w_{2}$ are work done by the forca $\to F$ in two paths respectively, then find $\frac{w_{1}}{w_{2}}$ .

Solution

We know that work done by the force is F.s where s is the displacment of the particle .
if we take from any path to that point work done is constant
$W_{1} = ~ J \sqrt{2} J$
and $W_{2} = ~ J \sqrt{2} J$
$\frac{W_{1}}{W_{2}} = 1$
