A particle is projected from the bottom of an inclined plane of inclination $30^{0}$ with the velocity of $40 m / s$ . Find the speed of the particle when its velocity vector is parallel to the plane. Take $g = 10 m / s^{2}$ .

Solution

Velocity vector will be parallel to plane in projectile motion at highest point.
$v_{y} = 0$
$v_{x} = v cos θ$
$= 40 cos 30^{\circ}$
$= \frac{40 \times \sqrt{3}}{2}$
$= 34.6 m / s$
