The correct option is B Negative throughout motion
using : $\to v = \to u + \to a t$
let at time $t = t_{o}, v = 0$
$0 = \to u + \to a t_{O}$
$\to a = - \frac{\to u}{t}$
so acceleration is opposite to $\to u$ therefore negative throughout the motion
