Question

A particle moves along the quadrant of a circle of radius 4 m from point A to B.with a constant speed of 2m/s.Find displacement of the particle and the average velocity of the particle.

Open in App
Solution

dispacement = it is the shortest distance between initial and final point so, AB = 4 x root2 = 5.65 m

distance travelled from A to B = (2 x 3.14 x 4)/4

= 6.28 m

time taken = distance/speed = 6.28/2 = 3.14 sec

average velocity = displacement/time = 5.65/3.14 = 1.8 m/s
