Speed of the particle = 15 m/s

Total distance travelled = 75 m( 25m+25m+25m)

So total time = $\frac{75}{15}=5sec$

Now total displacement is A to D only

i.e. 25 cm in 5 sec

So average velocity = $\frac{25}{5}=5m/s$ leftwards (vector quantity).
