Question

A particle moves with constant speed along a circle. The modulus of average acceleration in covering an angle θ is a1 and in covering an angle 2π+θ is a2. If a1a2=4 and if the value of θ (in degree) is 15α. Then α will be

Solution

In covering angle θ and 2π+θ ,the change in velocity is the
same. Therefore the accelerations is inversely proportional to the time.
so, a1a2=T+tt where t is the time taken cover angle θ and T is the taken time for covering 2π.
or 4=T+tt
or 4t=T+tt=T/3
θ=2π3rad=2π3×180π degree
or θ=120o=15α
α=8
