The correct option is A 3GMa
The gravitational potential at the point P due to the particle at centre is,

V1=GMr

V1=GM(a/2)=2GMa (r=a/2)

And the potential at point P due to shell will be

V2=GMa

So, the net potential at P is given by

Vp=V1+V2

Vp=2GMa+(GMa)

Vp=3GMa

Hence, option (a) is correct.
