Solution

The correct option is A 6400 km
Suppose, the height be h from the surface of the earth, at which weight is 30 N.

Given,

120=GMmR2 ...(i)

30=GMm(R+h)2 ...(ii)

From (i) and (ii),

R+h=2R

h=R=6400 km
