Let $ABCD$ be the square garden

Area between $ABCD$ and PQRS is the border with a width of $1$m

$\Rightarrow$ PQ$=$QR$=30-2\left(1\right)=28m$

$\therefore$ Area of the path $=$(area of $ABCD$)$-$(area of $PQRS$)

$=(30\times 30)-\left(28\right)\left(28\right)$

.$={30}^2-(28{)}^2=900-784$

$=116m^2$

$\therefore$ Area of the path is $116m^2$.
