now

Portion outside (EFGH) is a running path of width = 3m

area of running path = area of ABCD - area of EFGH

length of side EFGH $=60-6=54cm$

Then

area of running path $=(60{)}^2-(54{)}^2$

$Area=3600-2916$

$Area=684c{m}^2$
