Solution

The correct option is D Low clotting factor concentration
Liver serves several functions including carrying out metabolic processes such as gluconeogenesis, fat storage, detoxification, bile synthesis, etc. Liver is involved in the conversion of ammonia into urea via urea cycle and protein synthesis like albumin and clotting factors. Patient with liver failure will not be able to convert ammonia into urea, and will have high ammonia and low urea concentrations. Due to decreased synthesis by liver, both albumin and clotting factor concentrations will be low.
