a person bought a 6 dozen apples at Rs 80 a dozen. one dozen got spoilt, he had to sell them at a loss of 5%, find the selling price of one dozen, also find the selling price of one apple.

Cost price of 6 dozens of apples=6×80=Rs480Loss=5%So loss=5100×480=24So, selling price of 6 dozens of apples=Cost price-loss=480-24=456 So selling price of 1 dozen=4566=Rs 76So the selling price 1 apple=7612=Rs 6.3
