If an object is placed at 25 cm from the correcting lens it should produce the virtual image at 40 cm.

Thus, u=25 cm , v=40 cm

Using lens formula,

Substituting the given data we get,

1f=140+125

f=2003cm or 23 m

Power of lens P=1f
