ll the friends got some fixed number of chocolates from first bag and then B, C and D were given chocolates from the second bag in the ratio 1 : 2 : 3 respectively
Clearly, the number of chocolates given to A, B, C and D form Arithmetic Progression.
Now, in an AP, the sum of middle two terms is equal to the sum of the extreme two terms.
Therefore, Numbers of chocolates in the two bags = 2 × (Number of chocolates given to B and C) = 2 × 20 = 40.
