Solution

Dear student,

Assuming your question to be :
Amit earns Rs. 16000 per month. he spends 1/4 of his income on food; 3/10 of the remainder on house rent and 5/21 of the remainder on the education of children. How much money is still left with him?

Solution:
EARNINGS PER MONTH = RS. 16000
MONEY SPENT ON FOOD = (1/4)*16000
=RS. 4000
MONEY SPENT ON HOUSE RENT = (3/10) *(16000 - 4000)
=RS. 3600
MONEY SPENT ON EDUCATION OF CHILDREN
= (5/21) *(16000 - (4000+3600))
= RS. 2000
THEREFORE ,MONEY LEFT AFTER SPENDING
= 16000 - (4000 + 3600 + 2000)
=16000 - 9600
= RS. 6400
