A person has a hearing range from $20 H z$ to $20 k H z$ . What are the typical wavelengths of sound waves in air corresponding to these two frequencies? (Take the speed of sound in air as $344 m s^{- 1}$ )

We know that $w a v e l e n g t h (λ) = \frac{s p e e d (v)}{f r e q u e n c y (f)}$
Hence the wavelength range of audible sound will be
$\frac{344}{20000}$ to $\frac{344}{20}$ $=$ $17.2 \times 10^{- 3} m e t r e s$ to $17.2 m e t r e s .$
